To manage your Homechoice application, mutual exchange or garage application you need to go to the Homechoice website (opens in a new window).
Designed using customer feedback and tested by our Customer Focus and Early Access groups, the new portal is simple to use and built around what matters most to you.

From 10th March the new MySHG portal will be live. We are sending these out in stages over the coming months, starting with general needs tenants.
When it your turn to be registered, you will receive an email with a registration link for the new portal. Once you have completed the registration steps, you will be able to login to the new MySHG portal and start using it.

You will need to click on the 'forgotten my password' link on the homepage of the MySHG portal. You will then receive an email which will guide you through changing your password.
If you are having issues logging in, please complete a MySHG enquiry form and a member of the team will be happy to help.
If you are in the MySHG portal, go to 'My household' and under the heading 'My household details' click on your name, then 'edit details', click on the email address field and enter your new email address, then click 'save changes'.
If you’re a joint tenant and would like your own access to MySHG, please call us on 0161 217 6016 (option 4) so we can add a separate email address as each customer needs their own individual email to register.
No, to access your housing application you will need to go to the Homechoice website. If you need any help using the Homechoice website, please see the guides on the Homechoice website page.
Yes! We've developed MySHG to meet the latest web accessibility requirements giving everyone access to the full functionality. Click on the 'Accessibility' icon in the bottom right hand corner to open the ReciteMe accessibility toolbar. Here you will find a range of options that enable you to change the lookout of MySHG so that it works for you. This includes: altering the size of the text, changing the colour contrast and using text to speech or focus text.
Yes. MySHG was built to be mobile friendly. We are also working on a mobile app and will let you know when this is available.
A MySHG app is being worked on and is coming soon. We'll let customers know when the app is available to download. So watch this space!
Yes! If you click on the icon in the bottom right this will open the ReciteMe accessibility toolbar. You can then click on the icon for 'translation' where you can select the language you would like the portal to be translated into.

The prize draw is run by Stockport Homes Group.

Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.

The prize draw is open to Stockport Homes tenants aged 18 or over.

Employees of Stockport Homes Group or anyone connected with the prize draw are not eligible to enter.

To enter, you must be registered on the new MySHG portal and complete the MySHG feedback survey.

Each completed survey gives one entry per person.

There will be one winner each month (starting with the first in February 2026), selected at random.

The prize is a £50 voucher (non-transferable and no cash alternative).

Winners will be contacted by email within 14 days of the monthly draw.

If a winner does not respond within 14 days, another winner may be chosen.

Personal data will be used only to run the prize draw, in line with our Privacy Notice.
